Career and Study Advisor

We are looking for an engaged and professional career and study advisor who wants to make a difference in students' futures.

With us, you will meet a school with great diversity and students from various socio-economic backgrounds, making the work both meaningful and developing. Your role will be to inspire, guide, and create a sense of future hope among young people facing important life choices. The assignment includes both Hultsberg School and Helix, a special education group.

Responsibilities

As a career and study advisor at the secondary school level, you have a central role in supporting students in their choices for upper secondary school and future careers. You work both individually and in groups to provide students with knowledge, guidance, and motivation to make well-informed choices.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Providing individual guidance to students regarding upper secondary school choices, educational pathways, and career opportunities.
• Planning and conducting information sessions in classes about upper secondary programs, the job market, and future studies.
• Supporting students in identifying their interests, strengths, and goals.
• Collaborating with teachers, student health teams, and guardians to create a holistic approach to the student's development.
• Staying updated on current educational pathways, admission regulations, and job market trends.
• Participating in the school's work with internships and other activities that prepare students for working life.
• Documenting and following up on guidance efforts according to school routines.
• Contributing to systematic quality work through guidance and support in the K-9 perspective, results, and analysis work.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified career and study advisor. You need to have good knowledge of the education system, the job market, and future professions. Experience working with youth in various life situations is an advantage.

We seek someone with good collaboration skills who enjoys working closely with teachers, student health, and guardians to create the best possible support for students. You are relationship-building and establish trusting relationships with both students and colleagues.

As a person, you are engaged, curious, and have a genuine interest in strengthening students' belief in their future. You see differences as a strength and have a positive and inspiring manner that motivates students to explore their possibilities.
